Maintenance Department
Plant Engineer direct; Converting Supervisor is an indirect supervisor while
worker in on off-hours shift assignments.
Non-exempt, paid hourly
24/7 operation – assigned to one of four shifts: A B C D: 2 week
rotation, scheduled 3 days 1st week – 4 days in the 2nd week.
The ideal candidate will be flexible to be able to come in as needed for
special projects not specifically on his / her crew.
This position is a team member in the Maintenance Department and is responsible to assist fellow
team members on their crew and across departments when appropriate, with various facilities and
general maintenance tasks. The goal of this department’s work is to increase the uptime capacity of
all manufacturing machinery and equipment to maximize the efficiency of the factory floor operations.

(Duties & Responsibilities – purpose of the function and result to be accomplished) include but
are not limited to these listed:
1. Installs, troubleshoots and diagnoses production and process manufacturing equipment onsite.
2. Repairs, replaces or installs various power transmission systems and components, including such
electrical and mechanical devices, such as gears, pulleys, sprockets, belts of various designs,
bearings, drive shafts, and couplings.
3. Repairs, replaces, or installs various pneumatics systems and components including such items as air
lines, air cylinders, valves, solenoids, pipe, manifolds, and pneumatic circuits.

4. Repairs, replaces, or installs various single and three phase electrical systems and components, such
as motors, switches, wiring, conduit, PLC’s, data lines, communication lines, motor starters,
contactors, fuses, light bulbs, encoders, and circuit breakers.
5. Repairs, replaces, or installs various hydraulic systems and components to include but not limited to
cylinders, pumps, valves, solenoids, motors, hose, pipe, and manifolds.
6. TOOL USAGE: Within the above listed systems, Maintenance personnel use and must be proficient
to work safely with various tools, such as:
 Blueprints, circuit drawings
 Lighting systems
 Hammers, wrenches,
& schematic drawings
ratchets, sockets
 chains
 drills, drill presses
 emergency pumps
 electrical test equipment
 metal lathes, grinders,
 fork trucks & palate jacks
milling machines, and
hydraulic presses.
 manlifts
 water treatment
 Personal protective
equipment
 compressors
 Ladders and portable stair

units
Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited secondary school system.
2. 1 - 2 years manufacturing experience in a Maintenance function highly desired.
3. Valid forklift driver’s license or the ability to readily pass required test.
4. Team spirit, desire and ability to work in close harmony with organization’s Core Values
and Business Strategies.
