Quadrilateral Flap Book Research Project

 This project is due 2/18 during your class period.
Project Description: You will create a Flap Book about the various
quadrilaterals. A Flap Book is useful because it can help tackle a big topic
by breaking it into smaller elements.
Part I: Creating the Flap Book
 You will need 1 page for a title page and 1 page for each of the
following:
 Quadrilaterals
 Kites
 Trapezoids
 Parallelograms
 Rectangles
 Rhombi
 Squares
 Each successive page will be longer than the preceding page.

 Lay the sheets of paper on top of each other, fold and staple.

Part II: Contents of Flap Book
 Each page should contain:
 The properties of that particular quadrilateral.
 A sketch of that quadrilateral demonstrating the properties.
 A picture or photograph of a real life shape at home that
represents that quadrilateral.
 The perimeter and area formulas
 Remember you need a completed page for each of the following:
 Quadrilaterals (only properties and sketch)
 Kites
 Trapezoids
 Parallelograms
 Rectangles
 Rhombi
 Squares
Part III: Grading
Your Flap Book must be compiled in a neat and orderly fashion.
Neatness, order, and completeness will be considered as part of
your Flap Book grade.







