20th Anniversary Tour Contest;
Online Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. ENTRANTS MUST BE RESIDENTS OF CANADA (EXCLUDING
QUEBEC) AND OF THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR PROVINCE/TERRITORY OF
RESIDENCE. SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL, MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL LAWS
AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. CONTEST PERIOD
The “20th Anniversary Tour Contest” (the “Contest”) commences at 10:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”)
on April 26th, 2013 and concludes at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on April 15, 2014 (the “Contest Period”).
2. TO ENTER
No purchase necessary. To enter visit www.mcdermotthousecanada.org and complete and submit the
online entry form with your full name, full address, telephone number and email address. There is a limit
of one entry per person regardless of how many email addresses an individual may have.
3. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in
their province/territory of residence at the time of entry into the Contest, except employees and volunteers
of McDermott House Canada (the “Contest Sponsor”) and True Patriot Love Foundation and each of their
subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising or promotion agencies, dealers, sponsors, partners, the contest judges
and prize suppliers and the immediate family members of or persons domiciled with any of the foregoing.
In these Contest Rules, “immediate family” means mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and
legal or common-law spouse, regardless of where they reside.
4. PRIZE
There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of a trip for two (2) to France to participate in the
2014 Vimy Ridge Pilgrimage – Leadership Under Fire tour (the “Prize”). The Prize includes return
economy airfare for winner and his/her guest from the major commercial airport in Canada closest to the
winner’s residence, to Paris, France, standard hotel accommodations for winner and his/her guest for 5
nights (based on double occupancy), participation in the 2014 Vimy Ridge Pilgrimage – Leadership
Under Fire tour (the “Tour”). Trip must be taken during the Tour dates, which are expected to be during
the first and/or second week of June, 2014. Trip dates are subject to change at Contest Sponsor’s sole
discretion. The total approximate value of the Prize is $10,000 CDN

Winner and guest shall assume full responsibility for any expense not specifically mentioned as being part
of the Prize including: travel to and from airports, ground transportation generally, personal expenses
incurred at the hotel, gratuities, meals and beverages, taxes, insurance (including for medical fees,
accidents or lost luggage) and any other personal expenses. Trip is subject to space/flight availability.
Winner and guest must have the identical travel itinerary and the winner’s guest must be the same person
for the duration of the trip. All travel arrangements must be made through the Contest Sponsor and the
travel arrangements are at the Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion. Once the tickets are issued, the name of
the traveler cannot be changed. The winner and guest are solely responsible for obtaining any required
travel documents. The right to the Prize will be forfeited if: (a) for any reason, travel documentation
cannot be obtained within the time limit set by the Contest Sponsor; (b) the winner cannot or does not
wish to travel during the specified period; (c) the winner does not have the right, at the time he/she is
selected or at the time of the trip, to return to Canada upon departing; or (d) any immigration problem
whatsoever arises preventing the winner or guest from entering France. In such case, the winner or guest
barred from destination will be held solely responsible for arranging and paying for any required return
transportation.
Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. The Contest Sponsor
reserves the right to substitute all or any part of the Prize for a prize or prizes of equal or greater value, at
its sole discretion. Should the Tour be postponed or unavailable for any reason, the balance of the Prize
will be awarded in full satisfaction of the Prize, and the Contest Sponsor shall not be required to replace
the unavailable or postponed component. Any unused portion of a prize is forfeited and has no cash value.
5. PRIZE DRAW AND ADMINISTRATION
One (1) potential winner will be selected by a random draw from all eligible online entries received
during the Contest Period. The random draw will be held within one (1) week of the end of the Contest
Period. The Contest Sponsor will make reasonable attempts to contact the potential winner by telephone
or email at the telephone number or email address provided on his/her entry within seventy-two (72)
hours of the random draw. The potential winner must respond to the notification within two (2) business
days. In order to be declared a winner, the potential winner must also first: (i) correctly answer, unaided,
a mathematical, time-limited, skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call; (ii) complete and
sign a Declaration of Compliance and Release Form (“Release”) confirming compliance with these
Contest Rules and releasing the Contest Sponsor and True Patriot Love Foundation, each of their
affiliates, agencies and prize suppliers, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents
(collectively, the “Contest Group”) from all liability with respect to the potential winner’s participation in
the Contest and the awarding of, or participation in, the Prize, and return it to the Contest Sponsor by the
deadline indicated in the accompanying letter; and (iii) otherwise be in compliance with these Contest
Rules. In the event that the selected entrant cannot be reached within 24 hours of the draw, fails to
respond to the notification within 2 business days, is unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question
in the manner prescribed, fails to return the completed Release within the specified time period, or
otherwise is not in compliance with these Contest Rules, he/she will forfeit the Prize and the Contest
Sponsor may randomly select another entry to be eligible for the prize, subject to the same Prize
administration rules.
Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The winner of this Contest will not be eligible to win a prize in any other 20th Anniversary Tour Contest
sponsored by the Contest Sponsor. Winner’s guest (or his/her parent or legal guardian if guest is under
the age of majority) will also be required to sign a release form in order to participate in the Prize.

6. PRIVACY AND PUBLICITY
By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal
information for the purposes of administering the Contest. By accepting a Prize, the winner consents to
the collection, use and disclosure of his/her name, address (city, province), voice, recorded video,
statements and photographs or other likenesses by the Contest Sponsor and its affiliates for publicity
purposes in connection with the Contest in any media or formats, including but not limited to the Internet,
without further notice, permission or compensation.
7. GENERAL RULES
The Contest Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, inaccurate or destroyed
entries, and all such entries are void. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt by the Contest Sponsor. The
Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information,
technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or
transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or
networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry information not satisfying the
entry requirements or that have been tampered with or altered are void. All entries are subject to
verification by the Contest Sponsor. In the event it is determined that an entrant is ineligible, has entered
in a fashion not sanctioned by these Contest Rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries
permitted by these Contest Rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the
entrant will be disqualified.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Contest Rules
at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the
Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, due to any reasons such as tampering or infection
by computer virus, then the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Contest and conduct the
selection process from all previously received eligible entries. By entering this Contest, each entrant
acknowledges and agrees that the Contest Group: (i) shall have no liability of any kind in respect of any
problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with or resulting from the Contest,
the entrant’s participation therein, and/or the awarding, use, misuse, or participation in the Prize; (ii)
makes no guarantee or representation of any kind concerning the Prize; (iii) disclaims any implied
warranty or condition concerning the Prize; and (iv) is not liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind
resulting from the entrant’s acceptance, use, misuse, or participation in the Prize or otherwise from such
entrant’s participation in the Contest, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s computer equipment,
system, software or any combination thereof, which may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in
part, from downloading or participating in the Contest. The Contest Group is not responsible for
typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to
errors in advertising, the Contest Rules, the selection and announcement of the winner or the distribution
of the Prize. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of
the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Contest
Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including
criminal prosecution.
All entries become the permanent property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned. This Contest
is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to have been
submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The
“authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an

Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational
institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the
submitted e-mail address. Selected entrants may be required to provide the Contest Sponsor with proof
that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry
