Welcome to Santa Monica College!
Set on a 38-acre campus less than two miles from the beach, Santa Monica College has everything today's

It's time to celebrate the success of our students! [links]

be holding its 82nd annual Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, 6 p.m. at the Corsair Field
(football stadium) on the Santa Monica College campus. This event is an annual tradition to honor our

SMC's Student Newspaper Corsair Wins 14 State Awards [links]
The Santa Monica College student newspaper the Corsair won 14 awards – including online General Excellence
and three first-place awards – at the 2013 state convention of the Journalism Association of Community Colleges
held recently in Sacramento. Corsair photo editor Paul Alvarez Jr. won two first-place awards, one for video
journalism and the other for feature photo.

American Legion Donates $41,000 for SMC Student Vets [links]
Santa Monica College is pleased to announce that it has received a new $41,000 donation from the American
Legion for crucial counseling and other needs for the college’s student veterans in the winter and spring
