簡介1：
北愛荷華大學(UNI)的前身為「愛荷華州立師範學校」於 1876 年成立，直到今日，
北愛華大學已有 120 項主修科目，包括四項大學部及 10 項研究所的學系。“美國
新聞和世界報導” 雜誌將北愛華大學評為「最物超所值的學校」，並且稱北愛荷
華大學是美國中西部最有效率且是最安全的地方大學，而在 1996 年的最佳大學
手冊裡，北愛荷華大學名列全中西部地區大學第 11 名，且是前 15 名中唯一入選
的公立大學。另外北愛荷華大學裡約有超過 180 個活躍的學生社團及組織。
規模：
2008 年註冊北愛荷華大學的學生共有 12,908
名，其中包含 11,047 位大學部學生及 1,861
位研究生，而全校 92%的學生為來自愛荷華
州的美國本地學生。
占地 750 公頃的校園裡有超過 40 棟建築，其
中少數民族文化教育中心(Ethnic Minorities
Cultural and Education Center)建於 1890 年，
新建的大樓包括能量中心，環境教育中心，
造價一千零二十萬美金的商業大樓，以及設有 1600 個座位的全新表演藝術中心
等等。
組織建制：
北愛荷華大學設置校長一人，副校長三名，分別掌管行銷及發展、學生事務、行
政與財政三方面，並有教務長一名。現任校長為 Benjamin J. Allen。
學術特色：
UNI 提供許多學科的學士及碩士課程。MBA 學位已經過 AACSB 認證。UNI
也提供教育及工業技術的博士學位。工業技術博士學位是全世界同領域學位中絕
無僅有的，設立此學位的目的在於培育教育與工業領域的學者。
