University of Northern Iowa School Psychology Program Application Checklist The following materials are required to be considered for admission into the School Psychology program. Note that the Tuition and Assistantship applications are optional. Materials must be submitted electronically. Once your file for admission is complete, you will receive notification at the email you indicated on your application. Since most correspondence is via email, please make sure the email you list is accurate; it is your responsibility to notify us if it changes. Graduate Application for Admission (http://uni.edu/admissions/). MAE program code is 296. Ed.S. code is 293 Official transcripts (from degree awarding institutions) sent directly to UNI from institution GRE scores sent directly to UNI from ETS You will need to send the following materials to admissionsprocessing@uni.edu a. Resume or Curriculum Vita b. Writing Sample (you may choose any paper you feel is representative of your writing skills) c. Personal Statement (2-3 pages) addressing: *Experience working with children or youth *Self-evaluation of strengths and weaknesses relative to being a school psychologist *Goals and objectives as a professional school psychologist d. Three letters of recommendation and the letter of recommendation form (your letter writers may email letters to admissionsprocessing@uni.edu Tuition Scholarship Application (optional) – email to debra.jacobs@uni.edu Graduate Assistantship Application (optional) email to debra.jacobs@uni.edu Additional information about the admissions process: You will receive an email from the UNI Office of Admissions indicating your application to the Graduate College is complete once they have received your official application, official transcripts, and GRE scores. The application to the School Psychology program is not complete until all of the materials indicated above are received. You will receive correspondence from Deb Jacobs (Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations) about the status of your application to the School Psychology program (either the MAE in Educational Psychology: Contexts & Techniques/Assessment Emphasis or the Ed.S. in School Psychology). All materials must be submitted by December 15th for consideration for admission the following Fall semester. (EX: For admission Fall 2016, materials must be received by Dec. 15, 2015)
