We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated young professional to fill a Machine Shop Manager position in Corsicana Texas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees the work efficiency and safety of all employees in the shop. Assists machinists' with technical assistance on set-ups, tool grinding, interpreting blue prints, etc. Maintains accurate and legible individual time sheets, as well as production time records on all projects and jobs. Proficient in the use of measuring instruments typically found in a modern machine shop. Maintains accurate and legible Inspection Records of Production Parts and Measuring Tools per requirements of the Plant Quality Manual. Desired Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 10-15 years' experience in managing modern machine shop operations. Strong managerial skills capable of managing a $10M a year machine shop. Capable of programming in Fanuc, Dynapath and other CNC languages for lathes and mills. 3 years' experience in Mastercam and Solidworks software. Ability to accurately quote set-up/cycle times for lathe and mill operations from machining prints. 5 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing principles, and ability to set-up and developing material flow paths. Working knowledge and capable of operating all equipment in the Machine Shop, including but not limited to lathes and milling machines. Capable of programming and setting-up machines without assistance. Ability to manage a large tooling inventory, including sourcing of new materials and supplies. Must be capable of reading and comprehending complex blue prints, and geometric tolerancing. Ability to repair and/or source reliable repair services to maintain equipment up-time. Ability to communicate directly with customers in a professional manner. Working Conditions Foundry environment. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Exposure to high noise levels. Exposure to dirt and fumes. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Technical Trade School Certificate helpful.
