Colorado Emergency Management Academy Program 2015 Dates: Program begins January 27-29, 2015. Final Academy dates run from June 23-26. Location: The Emergency Management Academy and all resident courses will be held at the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management located at 9195 E. Mineral Ave. Centennial, CO. 80112. Lodging: Lodging will be provided by DHSEM for program attendees who live more than 50 miles from the course venue. Food: Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Lunch will be on your own except for the day of the EOC exercise. Costs: No costs or fees for participating in the Emergency Management Academy. The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) is accepting applications for the 2015 Emergency Management Academy from emergency management professionals throughout the State. The six month program consists of training opportunities and resident courses that are developed to be Colorado-specific and tailored to show Colorado processes. The academy provides networking opportunities with emergency management professionals across the state and culminates with a weeklong resident course and a final EOC-based exercise. Pre-Requisites include the following: ICS-100, 200, 300 & 400 IS-700 Introduction to NIMS IS-800 National Response Framework While the FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) is not required, all students are required to complete the PDS prior to graduation from the Academy.
