Info 324 - Team Process and Product Assignment 3 Due: 7/16/15 at the start of class This assignment has two parts; Plaid1 and Readings about Requirements. Plaid1 – Preparing to Meet with a Client about Requirements This part should be done in groups of 3 students (2 is okay), your choice of with whom. In this assignment you will work in teams to prepare for a meeting with a client about a requirements specification. The material you submit should include the following: A meeting agenda A list of questions designed to help you understand and capture client requirements A draft set of requirement statements. You should be able to draft at least 4-5 statements, but this need not be a full SRS draft A list of roles for your team members for the meeting, including who has each role Bring two copies to class – one to hand in and one to use during discussion. You will work in teams and should have one person submit the team’s result as a single document. There is nothing to turn in for this part of the assignment. Read the three short articles listed below about writing good requirement statements. While I might quibble with a few minor details in the articles, they all line up quite well with the SRS approach we have been discussing. http://www.processimpact.com/articles/qualreqs.html - article by Karl Weigers. http://ezinearticles.com/?Business-Requirements---What-Is-The-Difference-BetweenGood-And-Bad?&id=976468 Writing good requirements is a lot like writing good code, Jim Heuman (download from course website) Hint: Material from these articles is fair game for tests.
