Hey Gamecocks!
This year’s tailgate season will begin on Saturday, September 19th on Dillon Field. I
am excited for this year’s season. I have enclosed a list of the tailgate dates, times,
and themes. Whichever organization best adheres to the theme and shows the most
school spirit will be awarded a monetary “Spirit Award.”
The rules and regulations are also attached. Please look over them and feel free to
contact with regards to any questions. The SGA Officers will give each organization
one warning if they are breaking any of those rules and after that, UPD will escort
them off the field. Should this occur more than once your tailgate spot can be
revoked and you will not be allowed to tailgate on Dillon Field. Please encourage
your members to be smart and have fun.
We will encourage everyone to begin entering the Stadium fifteen minutes prior to
kick-off. Our student section is now blocked off and you will have to show your
student ID to enter. Please come and show your School pride and help cheer on our
fellow Gamecocks! Please remember that you are allowed to leave your tailgate
items on the field during the game, however the SGA is not responsible for any lost
or damaged items.
Lastly, I would like to welcome all of you back to Jacksonville State University. Lets
show our new University President how much Gamecock Pride we have! As the
leader of your organization, it is your responsibility to inform ALL of your members
of the information in this packet so we can be prepared for a great season! If you

2015 Dillon Field Rules and
Regulations

The Dillon Field tailgate area is reserved for recognized student organizations only.
Student Organizations are allowed to use the loading zone (service road adjacent to Dillon
Field) to set-up tailgate areas on Dillon Field at the opening of the Tailgate as scheduled
until two hours before scheduled kick-off of a game. No Vehicles are allowed in the Dillon
Field tailgate area whatsoever.

Student Organizations are not allowed to have bands, DJ’s, or loud music on Dillon Field
because the Student Government Association will provide those. No Animals or Pets are
allowed in the tailgate area.

Organizations may use a cable cord and cable box on the field; these are provided by the
SGA upon request. The Organization issued the cable cord and/or cable box will be
responsible for its return at the conclusion of the November21st , 2015 tailgate event.
Failure to return the cord will result in a fine of $100.00.

Pop-Up Tents are allowed, but tents that require large stakes or heavy duty securing are
prohibited on Dillon Field. All tailgate equipment (tents, grills, lawn chairs, etc) must be in
designated tailgate area on Dillon Field. House furniture (i.e. sofas, couches, recliners and
etc, are NOT allowed).

The Dillon Field tailgate area will close immediately following the game. Students, student
organizations, faculty, staff, and/or visitors will be responsible for cleaning their area
following each game. Failure to clean area will result in fines and loss of tailgate
privileges. Jacksonville State University & the Student Government Association are not
responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen property in the Tailgate Area.

All JSU polices, rules and regulations regarding alcohol will be enforced throughout the
campus. No common source of alcohol (i.e. kegs), glass containers, or drinking games will
be permitted in tailgate area. All alcoholic beverages must be in an unmarked cup. (Ex.
Solo Cup).

Disruptive students, student organizations, faculty, staff, and/or visitors will be removed
from the premises and will be subject to disciplinary sanctions. Disruptive behavior
includes the use of foul & inappropriate Language.
