This position is part of Finance SBU based at Head Office, reporting directly to the Manager Financial
Operations.
Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities









Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries
Undertaking operational administration
Liaising with managerial staff
Developing and managing financial systems/policies
Negotiating with vendors
Controlling income and expenditure
Monitor & review Agency Client Agreements

Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate must have a Degree in Accounting & Financial Management from a recognized tertiary
institution with at least 3 years’ experience in the similar role. A Post graduate qualification, working
knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions (ERP) accounting software and Professional
membership in this area would be an added advantage. Excellent Accounting knowledge, attention to
detail and strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills are essential for this role.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER (X1)
This position is part of Finance SBU based at Head Office, reporting directly to the Management
Accountant.
Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities











Provides advice and guidance to clients on procurement matters
Coach stakeholders on relevant processes i.e. Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for
Quotations (RFQ), bid evaluation criteria other competitive procurement tools
Ensure client needs are met
Ensure PFL obtains best value
Ensure procurement processes are perceived by suppliers as fair, open and ethical
Analyses procurement requirements and selects the most appropriate methods based on
interpretation and assessment of established policies, practices, and experience
Plans, organizes and leads the bid solicitation process including drafting and issuing RFQ, RFP and
guiding clients on processes involved
Ensures the integrity of the competitive process
Ensuring to protect confidential information
Analyses and negotiate on prices so that PFL gets best value
Monitors and reviews progress of contractual agreements, reviews and approves invoices for
payment, resolves any problems that arise, performs post contract evaluations, creates and



maintains procurement records, including electronic records in the PFL Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) system
Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data
Provides advice and guidance to clients on shipping methods and services, risks, and costs for
domestic and international shipments, analyses logistical requirements and decides on appropriate
methods and services to use, based on standard practice, and plans, executes and monitors
shipments

Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate must have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting & Financial Management from a recognized
tertiary institution with at least 2 years’ experience in the similar role. A working knowledge of MS

Head of Retail & Marketing.
Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities










Operation and business model analysis by determining operational objectives via studying business
functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Assessing business models and their integration with technology by analysing requirements
Constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.

Monitors items progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports;

This position is part of Retail and Marketing SBU based at Head Office in Suva reporting directly to the
Head of Retail and Marketing.
Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

threats in the marketing environment
Set goals for market share and growth
Develop and implement appropriate strategies by selecting, segmenting and targeting markets, and
promoting products and services to those markets

Work out an approach to pricing and set prices for products and services
Manage distribution channels such as shops and wholesalers
Make decisions regarding the distribution of products (such as taking orders, warehousing, stock
control and transport), manage store image or undertake direct marketing
Develop plans for advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling and sales
management
Undertake marketing audits to monitor sales performance.

Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies;
Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via
telephone and email;
Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media;

Collating and analysing media coverage;
Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports;
Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets,
promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes;
Devising and coordinating photo opportunities;
Organising events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours;

Help manage risks and hazards in their area
Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
Liaise with Ministry of Labour
Review and analyse injury and incident reports and data
Develop injury and incident prevention strategies for their area
Monitor buildings are compliant with OHS policy and procedures
Carry out OHS compliance audit with regard to risk, emergency and hazardous waste management
Help promote OHS awareness.

directly to the Manager Smart Mail.

Ensure efficient and timely service to Smart Mail clients
Actively monitor all network links within the Company
Process Smart mail client’s billing data in Smart mail
Operate printers and mailing machines in Smart Mail
Maintain equipment in Smart mail
Printer and fax machine support/troubleshooting
Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve system and hardware issues
Manage and log time in a manner to ensure all tasks are completed within specified time frames
Support in-house software and applications

Provide 1st & 2nd level desktop and server / network support over the phone, remotely and on-site
Printer and fax machine support/troubleshooting
Apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve system and hardware issues
Manage and log time in a manner to ensure all tasks are completed within specified time frames
Perform helpdesk level task on Active Directory and Exchange 2013 server
Liaise with external vendors, relating to ICT procurement
Support in-house software such as Finance, Payroll and POS applications
Identify and review all courseware in accordance with training needs.
Develop quality training, including learning and assessment strategies and assessment materials.
Customize training to meet end-users needs
Deliver quality training sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

This position is part of Corporate SBU based at Head Office in Suva reporting directly to the Manager
Internal Audit.
Summary of Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities








Conduct audits for various auditable areas of the Company in line with approved audit programs.
Assisting/Evaluating the effectiveness of internal control system in compliance with Company
policies, procedures and guidelines.
Documentation of audit findings and prepare formal audit reports to Manager Internal Audit.
Ensuring reliability, integrity and confidentiality of information.
Ascertain the extent of Compliance with established policies and procedures
Risk identification and Management of risk using corrective measure identifies in audit reports.
Willing to travel to Island Post Offices.
Any other duties assigned by Manager Internal Audit
Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate must have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting and Financial Management and Commerce
from a recognized tertiary institution with at least 2 years’ experience in the similar role. A good command
of English (both written and oral), report writing skills, member of Internal Auditors and a valid group 2
driving licence would be an added advantage. Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and attention to detail
are essential for this role.
