By the end of
today’s sessions,
you should know:
 the types of
questions you must
prepare for
 how to answer the

yourself and
manage your time
wisely

15 Minutes Reading Time
 You
have FIVE minutes for each
passage
 Number your passages
 Annotate: circle, underline,
highlight any key words that will
help you to remember what you
have read.
20 minutes to answer

Give yourself 10 minutes for the shorter
questions and 10 minutes for the longer one
which is usually worth 5 marks.

When 20 minutes is up, finish the sentence
that you are writing and then MOVE ON!

If you are not sure of the answer, move on
and come back to that question later.

Attempt EVERY question: you won’t lose
marks for incorrect answers and your guess
just may be right.
