Please indicate: (A) whether you want a Preliminary Estimate or Firm Offer and
(B) the nature of the work required.

STEP 3 – details of property requiring electricity
IMPORTANT - IS THIS A SUBDIVISION?
If property is being subdivided, you must provide a plan of subdivision with this application. Architectural or building site plans
are not acceptable. You must also provide the location of electricity supply arrangements of existing dwellings.
STEP 4 – amount of electricity required – parts A, B & C
IMPORTANT:
This information must be provided in full to avoid delays. Please consult your electrician.
C. Existing & Proposed Equipment - Estimate as accurately as possible the amount of electricity supply (in kilowatts or
horsepower) you plan to use. It is critical that we know if you are installing Floor Heating, Air Conditioning or any other high
load equipment. Our design is based upon your information and requirements.
Property Sketch - Please sketch your property to help us identify where you want your electricity supply. If it is a large rural
property, you must detail the exact location (measurements & pole numbers) and all other buildings and objects. Fences will
be assumed to be the property boundary unless otherwise indicated.
Please ensure you indicate the location of any obstructions or features such as:
 rows of trees  existing buildings  waterways  railway lines  highways  steep sloping ground
 rocky terrain  powerlines crossing property  Telstra or other utility’s assets.

Pole Numbers
Please provide the pole number and the distance of the power pole closest to your property. The pole number is generally on a
strip of plastic or aluminium attached to the pole at eye level and between 4 and 6 digits in length.
* Providing us with a clear photograph of the pole numbers will ensure accuracy and avoid delay.
How long does it take to get connected?
The time frame to connect power is determined by a number of factors including our works schedule and activities such as
surveying and obtaining necessary permits and approval from councils and other authorities. A more specific time frame will be
provided once contracts have been signed and payments received.
Please advise us if you think a new powerline may need to cross your neighbour’s property. If known please provide
neighbour’s contact details

I/we* understand that the subsequent preliminary advice provided by AusNet Services will be based upon the information provided in this Electricity Supply
Request, without detailed assessment. The preliminary estimate is not binding, although the amount is generally effective for up to 60 days. Any constraints
placed on AusNet Services by third parties may cause additional costs to you or your client. Construction of the electricity supply extension is programmed upon
acceptance of a contract and receipt of any payments required from the applicant. Negotiations need to be finalised about four months prior to electricity supply
being made available.
I/We* understand that electricity will not be connected until AusNet Services has received a prescribed “Certificate of Electrical Safety” (CES) according to
regulations as determined by Energy Safe Victoria.
