Group Sales Manager - Role profile
Promoting the platform to education establishments and managing existing partnerships is an integral aspect to the role. The role involves identifying new business opportunities and converting them into profitable sales to meet company targets for growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of effective and profitable account management and development at management level.
Key Responsibilities
Report Directly to Sales and Marketing Manager
Actively promote Pure Student Living to education establishments such as language schools, overseas study programmes, universities and other educational institutions.
Responsible for securing group and summer business for entire Pure Student Living portfolio.
Monitor existing relationships with current educational establishments by leading regular
structured contact to develop long term relationships and optimise performance.
Ensure group and summer activity align with overall company plans to meet both occupancy and
profit targets
Take lead from Directors on group rates and negotiate rates with various group leads
Report to Directors about group activity development
Work closely with Reservations Manager to manage groups and summer business
Work closely with Reservations Manager and Marketing team in compiling monthly sales,
marketing and business development reports to Directors and investors
Attend investor meetings and report about overall occupancy, marketing activities, yearly and
quarterly plans
Liaise with the Directors during group and summer contract preparation.
Maintain extensive knowledge of current sector conditions and provide the Directors and investors with market activity feedback.
Create quarterly group and summer sales forecast on expected occupancy levels and projected
income.
Identify, record, develop and convert sales lead and opportunities as they arise with a view to
exceed forecasted targets
Plan, prepare and deliver presentations to Directors and investors about occupancy levels, group, reservations and marketing activities
Seek out ways to generate competitive advantage for Pure Student Living by responding proactively to changes in the student accommodation sector
Attend regular update meetings with the reservations manager
Attend bi-weekly meetings with Directors to update on group and summer activity
Conduct regular catch-up meetings with Marketing team and aide in any major projects

Candidate profile
Business retention and growth experience, with at least 2-4 years’ experience of having worked in a KPI driven environment
Strong commercial outlook and focus. Understands how their role will impact upon the business achieving its financial objectives and drives progress accordingly
Experience with a variety of software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite; CMS; Google and Microsoft office
Ambassadorship – must act as the ‘face’ of the business and represent its best interests to a variety of stakeholders, investors and clients
Able to forge strong interpersonal relationships; demonstrates self-awareness, well developed listening skills and the ability to adapt own communication to suit the target audience
Confident in ability to report sales figures accurately and present strategic marketing initiatives to the principal investor
B2C as well as B2B experience would be advantageous
Excellent ability to sell and negotiate with closing and follow-up skills.
Strong presentation skills at board level.
Commercially astute negotiator.
