Grant:
*The grant is VERY TIME SENSATIVE
*Application packet must be processed by Chatt. State, PLAN/ACT scores have to be
submitted, and have a “$0.00” balance ALL by June 1(for fall) & Dec. 1 (for spring) to be eligible.
*Must pass the class with a “B” to get the grant each semester…once you have lost it, there is no way
to earn it back and you will have to pay for the full price of the class
*$300 is awarded to most 11th/12th graders if they meet the criteria:
resident of TN for 1 year and have a social security number; it is not income-based
*You must apply online prior to each semester.
Student must pass the class:
IF you do not pass in the fall semester:
1 - You will have to pay full price for the course in January (for PreCal students that will
be approximately $700) OR
2 – You will have to enroll into CCA’s regular level class
This will cause a significant schedule change in the student’s class schedule in the spring
semester and most likely would result in dropping 1 or more arts class(-es) to
accommodate this change.
So make sure you are committed (academically and financially) to taking this class
the entire year
