Work experience
March,2008- continuing:- Working as General Manager, Vadilal Industries Ltd involved in the
manufacture & marketing of Ice-cream with the turn over above 600 crores. All operational
activities at Bareilly plant such as production,maintenance, Admn, P&A, Logistics comes under my
control.
We have recently started the milk procurement on “Amul Pattern” ivolving 250 societies &
BMCs. The surplus milk received during the milk season is getting converted to SMP & Plastic
Cream on job contract for our requirements during summer.This additional activity for the
company is totally my personal contribution to the company.
2,000-March,2008:- worked as chief executive, Ranchi Dairy involved in milk procurement,
processing & Marketing of milk & milk products. My job profile included strategic business
planning & decision making , it’s execution & monitoring of following activities:






Formation of milk cooperative societies & it’s operation.
Processing packing of liquid milk & manufcture of indigenous milk products
Managing it’s supply chain.
To carry out the relevent sales promotional activities.
Financial management & cost control.
Developement of the relevent quality management system to prevent quality failures.
Managing HR & personnel activities of 150 employees working under me.
Achievements:
The turn over of the project was brought to 42 crores per annum from 17 crores per
Annum in five years span.






The profitability of the unit was brought to 1.25 crores per annum from a position of a
situation of gross deficit.
The liquid milk marketing was extended to many neighbouring sub-urban markets across
JHARKHAND.
Doubleing the number of milk retail outlets & ensuring the availability of milk through out
the day based on the needs of the market identified through an extensive market survey.
The plant capacity utilization was brought to 100% by improving the market share.
Good quality popular indigenous products such as Fitness curd,Misti doi, Vaccume pack
paneer, Peda etc were added to the product profile to improve brand image &
profitability.
The relevent Quality Management System was put in place to become the first Dairy in
eastern India to have achieved ISO 9001-2000 along with HACCP.
1993-2000:Worked as Factory manager at Patna Dairy Project under Vaishal Patliputra Milk Union involved in
the procurement , production & marketing of different kinds of milk & milk products. I was the
first officer from the dairy sector of eastern india selected by NDDB to under go training on Quality
Management System at Gibert Chandller Institute,Malbourn,Autralia.
1991-1993:Worked as Manager(QC) with Patna Dairy Project.
1989-1991:Worked as Plant Head of Mithila Milk Union.
1983-1989:- Worked as Factory Head of Ranchi Dairy
1980-1983:- Worked as Technical Officer of Patna Dairy Project under N.D.D.B.
Professional Qualification:A. BSc.(Dairy Technology) from National Dairy Research Institute,Karnal in year 1980.
B. Trained on Quality Management Systems at Gilbert Chandller Institute,
Melbourne,Australia
C. Trained on Entrepreneurship Developement Programme at I.I.M. Ahmedabad.
