GOAL # 2
2.1 Percentage of students in GPS Algebra and GPS Geometry classes who “meet” or “exceed”
expectations on the GPS Algebra and GPS Geometry End of Course Tests will be 90% or higher.
2.2 Post secondary testing scores will increase.
Teachers will focus on maintaining the EOCT scores in GPS Algebra and GPS Geometry. Last spring,
90% of the students in Math I passed the EOCT while 94% passed the Math 2 EOCT. This school year
our students will be taking the GPS Algebra and the GPS Geometry for the first time. The school hopes
to maintain scores by focusing attention on our lower regular education students as well as our special
education students. We also hope to improve our scores by increasing the percentage of honor’s
students who exceed the standard on the EOCT. The school has noticed a drop in post secondary
testing scores and therefore will implement a preparation program to increase those scores.

GOAL # 4 To improve student achievement in Social Studies as measured by criterion based assessments.
4.1 Increase the percentage of all students in the exceeds category on the USH EOCT from 62% to 65%.
4.2 Increase the percentage of all students in the exceeds category on the Economics EOCT from 64% to 67%.
4.3 Increase all special education pass percentage on the USH EOCT from 68% to 71%
4.3 Increase all special education pass percentage on the Econ EOCT from 50% to 60%
4.4 Special education students will increase mastery of standards driven topics and concepts by 50% as
determined by pre and post testing.
Data from the spring administration of the EOCT in USH indicated a pass rate of only 50% (Econ) and 68% (USH)
among special education students on their first attempt. The school hopes to improve this percentage by
focusing on the EOCT performance of special education students in economics and in US History classes.
Data from the spring administration places students scoring in the exceeds category on the EOCT in USH at 62%
and Economics at 64%. The school hopes to increase the students in the exceeds category on both tests by 3percentage points by focusing on critical reading in the EOCT courses.
Link to System Goal: Establishing internationally competitive standards for student performance
and an accountability system and policy framework designed to insure that all students are challenged individually
and collectively to meet more rigorous standards
