Economics EOCT Preparation Test Date Wednesday May 14th This information is provided for parents and students to assist students in preparing at home for the End Of Course Test (EOCT), which is worth 15-20% of their final grade depending on when they entered high school. The Day before: Review what you learned for study guide, notes, etc. Get a good night’s sleep The Day of test: Eat a good breakfast Dress Comfortable Be on time During the test: Focus & Budget Time Be Positive Write in your test booklet Use what you know Think logically Check your answers Answer every question. Economics EOCT Description The Georgia End-of-Course Test (EOCT) for Economics is designed to test five major areas of knowledge: 1. Fundamental Economic Concepts 2. Microeconomic Concepts 3. Macroeconomic Concepts 4. International Economics 5. Personal Finance Economics Administration Time: Each EOCT is composed of two sections, and students are given 60 minutes to complete each section. There is also a short stretch break between the two sections of the test. Question Format: All the questions on the EOCT are multiple choice. Number of Questions: Each section of the Economics EOCT contains 40 questions; there are a total of 80 questions on the Economics EOCT. Creating An Account If students have already created an account there is no need to create a new one. Getting Started… http://usatestprep.com/Create-Account Fill in the Login Information with something you remember and write it down somewhere (agenda, phone, etc.). Then click create an account. Then log in… Start with a Summative (Benchmark) Test After finishing the test and reviewing the results, students can complete suggested practice that has been individualized based on a student’s results. Click on suggested practice... Then click create assignments. This will add 3 new assignments that have been individualized based on a student’s results. Preparation Plan Start by completing a Summative (Benchmark) Test. Then complete 3-6 suggested practice assignments. Repeat this process beginning with a new Summative Test regularly. A couple of notes: It is very important that students take time when completing the suggested practice to read the explanations it provides for each question after picking an answer. Then click return to assignments to begin working.
