ECHS Mission Statement
& Vision
• El Campo High School is a traditional high school (nonmagnet) grades 9-12, located in El Campo, Texas (“The Pride
of the Prairie”) which is one hour southwest of Houston,
Texas. Based on our enrollment of 974 students taken on
“snapshot day” October 2011, (currently 983), we are
classified as a 3A high school in Texas. Our students
participate in a variety of activities such as: band, FFA,
athletics, choir, our drill team the “Derby Dolls”, cheerleading,
and have opportunities to learn several vocations such as
welding and woodworking. They also have the opportunity to
join several clubs such as Power Set, WIT, and Drama. We
also offer AP and dual-credit courses in conjunction with
Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) for college bound
students in all core area classes.
