3 Colonial Regions Flipbook
1. You will construct a flipbook on the 3 regions of the 13 colonies.
2. Title is 3 Colonial Regions (Put your name on the back)
3. You will use 6 pages of construction or printer paper with color pencil or pen. Notebook paper or
pencil will not be accepted.
4. Every 2 Pages will be dedicated to a region (3 regions total = 6 pages)
5. Make sure you label the corresponding region at the bottom of the flip page
a. Page 1 of Region – Similarities 10 points per region (30 points total)
i. Map of your region with ALL colonies labeled and the most important cities during
colonial times per region
ii. Colony Region Similarities using PEGS (within the region itself) during colonial times
1. General Geographical Characteristics of the region
2. Economics (think of how this differs from region to region – not from colony to
colony)
3. Primary Religion of the region
4. Social Characteristics of the region
5. Politics/Government System of the region
b. Page 2 of Region – Differences 20 points per region (60 points total)
i. Colony Region Differences – comparing each colony within the region during colonial
times
b. Reason each colony was established (When, how and by who) FIND information that I
would put on a test.
c. Geographical characteristics (how is it different the other colonies within the region)
d. economics (how is it different from the other colonies within the region)
e. Political (how is it different from the other colonies within the region)
Neatness 10 points
Do this for all 3 regions
6. You will write a separate essay answering the question “How is geography going to influence the
politics of the region in the future?”
a. 5 Paragraphs (Introduction with a thesis, 3 supporting, and conclusion)
b. Minimum 550 words
