Summary of Qualifications
AWC’s FAA Qualified Biologist, Steve Fairaizl, has 34
years of wildlife management experience. This
experience includes managing wildlife at airports,
resolving urban wildlife issues, reducing agricultural
losses, wildlife capture, wildlife surveys, and public
relations relevant to wildlife issues. Steve has worked
with big game, small game, upland game, non game,
predators, furbearers, bats, migratory birds, seabirds, and
feral animals.
Steve has 34 years of experience providing wildlife
management services to Part 139 certificated airports.
This experience includes, wildlife surveys, monitoring,
preparing wildlife hazard assessments and management
plans, mechanical control, chemical control, exclusion,
population reductions, lethal and nonlethal control
measures.
Steve Fairaizl, has 18 years of experience providing
wildlife management services to Part 139 certificated
airports in the Southwestern US. This experience
includes, wildlife surveys, monitoring, preparing wildlife
hazard assessments and management plans, mechanical
control, chemical control, exclusion, population
reductions, lethal and nonlethal control measures

Steve has worked with big game, small game, non-game,
migratory birds, resident game birds, predators,
threatened & endangered species, and special status
species. Steve has extensive experience with wildlife
capture and handling using both chemical and mechanical
methods. He has written numerous management plans,
relocation and restoration proposals, monitoring reports,
habitat assessments, and population life history reports.
Steve has a unique ability to interact with people and the
news media to present complex and often controversial
wildlife issues in layman’s terms thereby building
consensus and coalitions to complete the job.
