• Parents may forego or delay medical care or
prescription medicines for their children.
• Children who are not insured all year are much less
likely to receive any medical care.

are less likely to have a “medical home.”

Program (CHIP).

Florida KidCare is an "umbrella" program, combining the
best of public and private insurance into one affordable and
comprehensive insurance program for children.

There is ONE family friendly application!
•
If a child was previously enrolled in Florida KidCare, parents
may not need to complete a new application. They can call
1-800-821-5437 for additional information.
What is Florida KidCare?
• Statewide health insurance program for
children from birth through age 18.
• 12-month continuous coverage for birth
through age 18.
• Low-cost or free children’s health care
coverage.
• A single application for all programs
