model answer:
I believe that building a large factory near my community has advantages as well as
disadvantages, but the disadvantages clearly outweigh the advantages. Therefore I will
definitely oppose the operation of a factory in my area.
For several reasons, I think that a new factory will not be a good addition to my
neighborhood. First of all, factories often bring pollution, as they are prone to
contaminating the local air and water. Second of all, factories make noise which will
surely disrupt daily life. Another important aspect of building a new factory near by is
that it will make the local traffic heavy. As a result of this, the amount of traffic
congestion will increase, as well as contamination of the air with smog. So, all these
obviously will not make one's life happier and healthier in my community.
From the other side, I believe that a new factory will bring some advantages to my
community, however these will be minimal. First of all, the new production center will
bring various new job opportunities. Many specialists will be required to work there and
they may also train local engineers. Second of all, I think many local community
facilities will have to be renovated to obtain reliable supply of water and electricity. For
example, it may be wishful thinking, but some old pipes or other infrastructure may be
changed. Another important benefit of this is that the local roads, in order to manage the
increasing traffic will surely be rebuilt and widened.
However, I do not think that listed above benefits are worth all these troubles including
water contamination and the constant pollution of air. From my point of view all factories
must be built far from our communities because they can be really harmful for people's
health.

factory could be located to the edge of town and

Use the rubric to grade the Essay
Before the most important match of my life, I asked my martial
arts mentor Mr. Gunthor some advice. He advocated me to "Go
to see different kinds of fighters and accumulate more fighting
experience." (Smith 2013)
What he said really came true when I fought with my second
opponent. The young boy first looked kind and was not the
aggressive type which confused me and made me not want to
hurt him. But after I kicked him down a few times, I gained
confidence and began to win the match.
