Apple unveils new iPhones

iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c introduced

iPhone 5c is supposed to help Apple gain
market share in China

iPhone 5c priced at 4,488 yuan ($733)

Price was intended to compete with other
phones priced around $100

China has 1.2 billion wireless subscribers

iPhone will only be available to 37% of the
population due to licensing agreements

Apple is working on a deal with China Mobile
which has a customer base twice the US
population

China generated $25 billion dollars for Apple in
the past four quarters

Monetary policy used by US
