Square 1: Imagine you are Teddy, the boy from the story Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Write a letter to a friend describing your new pet mongoose. You letter should be at least 3 complete letter paragraphs. Square 2: Who is your favorite character in the story? Write 2-3 sentences describing why that character is your favorite. Then, draw a picture in color of that character. Square 3: Venn Diagram: Compare and contrast Nag and Rikki-tikki-tavi. Nag Rikki-tikki-tavi Square 4: Now that Nag and Nagaina are dead, what new adventures do you think Rikki-tikki-tavi might have? Write a new adventure story. Your story should be at least 3 paragraphs. Square 5: Vocabulary: Create a picture for 6 of your vocabulary words. Each page of your book should have one of the vocabulary words written out, a synonym and an antonym for the word, the word used in a sentence, and an illustration of the meaning of the word. Your book also needs a cover and should be in color. Square 6: Square 6: Choose a scene from Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Rewrite the scene from another characters point of view. Your rewrite must include all the details of the scene and should be at least two paragraphs. Square 7: Write a poem about the story RikkiTikki-Tavi. Your poem must be at least 8 lines. Square 8: Although Rikki-tikki-tavi is the true hero of the story, how does Darzee’s wife also display heroic qualities? Discuss specific events from the story that prove her heroic nature. Your response should be at least one complete paragraph. Square 9: Create a 6 square comic strip of the story Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Your comic strip should identify and illustrate the 6 main events from the story and should be sequenced in the order they occur in the story. Your comic strip also needs to be in color.
