Instructions for Foldable Verb Chart • Folding & Cutting: – Take one blank sheet of printer paper. – Fold the paper in half width-wise (hamburger style). – Fold it in half again, this time length-wise (hot dog style). – You should now have a strip of paper. – Fold the strip of paper in half width-wise (hamburger). – Fold it in half again width-wise (hamburger). – You should now have a small but thick rectangle. – Unfold your paper; it should have 16 boxes—4 across by 4 down. – Keeping the paper in landscape (wide) orientation, fold the left side and the right side to the center to create flaps. – Cut along the folds on each flap to create 4 small flaps on each side. The 3rd and 4th flap on the left will be the same color, and the 3rd and 4th flap on the right will be the same (other) color. You may either write your labels using the 6 colors or you may color the background. – With the flaps closed, label the outside of each flap with the Spanish subject pronoun and the person number (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). – Open the flaps and label the inside of each flap with the English subject pronouns. – In the center boxes, create three columns labeled -ar, -er, and -ir. In each column, label each box with the verb ending for the subject pronoun.
