ACP…Just the Facts
(Pages 2-3)
 ACP exams count as 10% of the student’s final grade.
 All ACP exams will be given using the maroon, specific,
all purpose answer sheet. Algebra I answer sheet is
blue.
 Students have 90 minutes to complete test including
bubbling answers.
 Students who do not finish must stop when time is called
and turn in what they have completed.
 Pre-AP courses will have a separate Pre-AP ACP exam
with an extra bold border around edge.
 All tests books are consumable. Scratch paper may be
used but must be collected at the end of the testing
session.
 There is NOT an ACP for Reading courses.

ACP…Just the Facts

 Dictionary policy is the same as STAAR.
 Calculators are to be provided for Math 7 Pre-AP,
Math 8, and Algebra.
 ACP scores will be uploaded to GradeSpeed and
final test results will be displayed within MyData.
 Astronomy ACPs are pilot tests and will not be
loaded to Chancery or GradeSpeed.
 If a student is enrolled in a class that does not have
an ACP written for it, they will be tested with a
teacher made exam.
 There are no modified versions of the ACP Exam.

ACP…Surveys and Concerns

Test Coordinators will schedule a review
period after all ACP testing is complete to
allow teachers to complete the ACP
feedback survey.
ACP test books will be checked out/in to
complete the survey.
Teachers will not be allowed to leave the test
room with the test.
For incorrect test items, complete a “Test
Item report Form”

Please report to the Testing Center between _____ a.m. and
______ a.m. to pick up testing materials on the morning of the
test.
Failure to pick up test by _____ a.m. will result in a written
reprimand. If an emergency occurs, please let the main office
know. If special circumstances will prevent you from picking up test
material on time, please speak with test coordinator after the
meeting.
Sign out your testing materials, and make sure that your test are
secure at all times.
ACP Books must be accounted for at all times. You must return
test materials each day.
You must check each book number not just first and last book.

 Teachers may not administer tests in their own
content area.
 Student Cell phones should not be used or visible
during testing.
 Teacher cell phones/bluetooth devices should not be
visible during test.
 Backpacks must be placed at the front of the room
 Bulletin boards and instructional displays that may
aide the examinee must be covered or removed by
the end of school on Dec 14.
 Each class must have a seating chart. (It would be
helpful if students who test in alternate locations are
indicated on the seating chart)

 Under no circumstances should students be left
unattended.
 Test administrators are not allowed to answer any
questions relating to the content of the test. If an
examinee/student asks a question that the test
administrator is not permitted to answer, the test
administrator may respond for example, “I can’t answer
that for you; just do the best you can.”
 The test administrator and school personnel are not
allowed to:
 Translate test questions into another language.
 Rephrase or add information to questions.
 Discuss test questions with anyone before, during, or
after testing.
 Score test items or discuss with examinees/students
how they performed.
 Must not erase stray marks in test booklets or answer
documents.

Things to do
Before Testing
 Attend test administrator training
 Sign Oath of test security and confidential integrity
 Bulletin boards and instructional displays that may
aide the examinee must be covered or removed
 Complete seating charts for each class period.
 Student oaths are embedded on answer sheet
and should be signed by student the day of
test for each class period. Please note student
oaths are embedded own all answer sheets.
 Post “TESTING --DO NOT DISTURB” sign on your
door

Before Testing
 Take attendance at the beginning of class using
class roster sheets which have been provided.
Make sure to give those to the teacher of record
so they may input attendance prior to 1:30 PM.
 Students backpacks should be placed in the
corner of the room/cell phones turned off and out
of sight.
 Have students verify that they have the correct
answer sheet and that the student information is
accurate on each answer document.
 Read the test administrator script –begins on page
26 verbatim
 Students should complete the test code, year, and
form as described per your test administrator
script.

During testing
 If a student is missing an answer sheet, contact
testing coordinator. Please double check sped
list attached to your folder to ensure that the
student should not test in an alternate
location based on IEP.
 Make sure students are using a No.2 pencil
 Doors should remain open.
 No students in hall 1st and last 15 minutes of
class & ONE at a time to RR with a PASS.
 Make sure the testing room is quiet, and
comfortable the entire test administration.

During testing
 Make sure that a testing administrator is present
in the room at all times during testing.
 Never allow a student to walk with test materials
in hand.
 When students are finished, collect their test
material. Make sure students have bubbled test
code, year, and form. Make sure to collect the
answer sheet separately from the book.
 Students who finish early may read a book or sit
quietly. No electronic devices should be visible.
 MONITOR STUDENTS WHILE TESTING!

After Testing
►Remove all answer documents from testing
booklets. (Please check and recheck!)
►Check to ensure that students have bubbled and
written test code, year, and form.
►Separate completed answer documents and
place under appropriate teacher header
(sheltered and sped students should be
submitted under the appropriate header.
Answer documents are to be alphabetized.
►** Make sure all documents are submitted in the
same direction with the computer feeder bars
lined the same way

After Testing
►Separate answer documents of absent students.
►Do not submit any blank answer documents with
your scorables.
►Return books in numerical order each day. A
number sequence is printed on each test for
quality control. Missing books are considered test
irregularities and will be reported as such.
►PLEASE return ALL materials. (pencils, scans,
books in numerical order, roster, bin, etc..)
►Please be mindful that each class may finish at a
different time. All classes should remain in test
mode the entire time.

Returning Materials
 Verify that all test booklets and scantrons are
accounted for.
 Once turned in, your materials will be signed in at
the testing center
 If all materials are not turned in, you will NOT be
cleared
