Comic strips are fun and can be used to tell a story. In your first Science Lab of the year,
you will explain the steps of the Scientific Method in cartoon form.
The Steps of the Scientific Method:
1. Identify the Problem
2. Gather Information
3. Form a Hypothesis
4. Test the Hypothesis
5. Analyze the Data
6. Form a Conclusion
7. Communicate your Results
The comic strip below shows the steps of the scientific method. If this was your project all
you would be missing is the complete sentences below each frame explaining what is going
on (see ‘success checklist’)
Success Checklist (your comic strip must):
Be composed of at least 7 frames.
Include original colored illustrations (hand drawn or computer generated) in each frame
depicting the Scientific Method.
Feature short captions underneath each picture (using complete sentences) that provides
details about what is occurring within each frame. Note: You must type the captions.
Include the following terms in the frame captions (terms should be underlined or bolded):
