You will create an annotated bibliography 4. Chose a project to create from the NHD list 5. Write a process paper to accompany your project (if you are competing) Directions for Part ONE – Research & the Research Paper: You will be responsible for choosing, researching, and writing a report about ONE specific topic relating to the NHD theme Leadership & Legacy. Your topic should have occurred before 1994. Remember, you will be responsible for citing your sources. As you complete your research, use the Annotated Resource Set (ARS) sheet to write down your sources. This part of the project will be worth 200 points. - Please answer the following questions in your report: o Who is your leader? o Why were they a good leader? o What is/are their legacy/legacies? o Where and when was your leader from? o Who are the major people associated/involved with your leader? o How did your leader impact their country or nation? o How did your leader impact other countries/nations at that same time? o How has the leader affected our lives today? o You may also include any additional information you feel is important to know about the leader and their legacy/legacies. YOUR PAPER MUST BE: Typed 12 size font Double Spaced Times New Roman 1 ½ - 2 pages long At least 5 paragraphs Include an introduction, 3 paragraphs about your topic, and a conclusion Include an annotated bibliography Directions for Part TWO – The Project: You will be responsible for creating a project – this should be an exhibit using a 3-panel display board. (*If you are competing for NHD, you can do an exhibit, documentary, website or performance following the NHD criteria for your specific project.) Your project must be about the leader you wrote about in your report as well as their legacy/legacies. This part of the project will also be worth 200 points. If you choose create an Exhibit, it must include: - - Title Pictures that have to do with your topic Each picture must include a minimum of a one sentence label below it The display board must also include a summary of at least one paragraph describing your leader and their legacy/legacies. This should be typed or hand written clearly and legibly and should be placed somewhere on the front of the display board.
