The African Renaissance Ambassador Corp (ARA Corp) carries out three major
projects in Cameroon, West Africa: A micro-finance program to empower poor
women, an extracurricular program to equip youth, and a small grant program to
enable Africa-focused development. In addition ARA Corp engages in need-based
community outreach in Africa and Growing Community events to promote multicultural education and cultural diversity in Central Florida Communities.
ARA Corp recently launched its extracurricular Preparatory Educational Program in
4 secondary schools in Cameroon. The purpose of this program is to establish ARA
clubs within schools that engage, and equip students in the areas of public speaking,
community service, and the identification and development of Knowledge, Skills
and abilities to prepare them for a success in a global workforce.
The intern will work closely with the CEO and education director in the U S as well
as program staff in Cameroon, West Africa to develop a comprehensive ARA Clubs
handbook.

Seminole County 4-H Youth Development is a seeking a motivated, self-starter to
lead a community club for youth 5-12 years old. Intern will be responsible for
planning activities based on 4-H curriculum in the areas of elementary science, food
preparation/nutrition, animal science and environmental education. Intern will be
responsible for leading group of teenage (13-18years old) volunteers in working
with 5- 12 year olds in small activity groups. Additionally, intern will be responsible
for the recruitment and supervision of adult volunteers to assist with activity groups
and related recognition events. Position focuses on program planning, youth
development, volunteer, and event management. Intern will receive weekly guidance
and programming resources from 4-H Agent.
