LATIN YEAR 7 SUMMER EXAM GUIDE
In the exam there will be a:
Section 1:
Reading comprehension in which you will be asked to read a Latin
passage and then answer questions in English
Section 2:
Translation – from Latin into English
Section 3:
Grammar questions and some English into Latin sentences
Section 4:
Cultural Greek Mythology – to answer one question out of two
choices
Revision – Latin: Ab Initio 1 (up to Chapter 12)
 All vocabulary covered so far
 Revise all verb conjugations in the present (page 120)
 All 6 cases of nouns 1st and 2nd declension nouns (page 97)
 Any other grammar covered so far (open questions,
prepositions etc)
Revision – Greek Mythology - read through thoroughly and in
detail the myths from your exercise book:
 Perseus
 Heracles’ 12 Labours
 Jason and the Golden Fleece (covered so far)
