[Using Proportional Reasoning and Investigating Patterns]
Overview / Overall Objectives
Students will have the opportunity to choose a lesson from chapters 8 or 9, and create a
presentation re-teaching the chosen lesson. The lesson presentation should include a
specific topic, its vocabulary, and examples; using technology application. The students
should be well prepared to give and receive questions and answers. A rubric will be
given to students as a guideline.

The students will be able to review or learn the basic steps on how to create a Power
Point presentation.
Procedure: Please list the various activities that will take place during the period.
1. Demonstration lesson - Teacher will model a Power Point Presentation.
2. The students will review the basic steps on creating a power point presentation.
3. Guided practice - The students will work cooperatively in groups as the
teacher provides assistance.
4. Class discussion – Distribute the project rubric
Materials: What materials will be used for the lesson?
Computer, projector, the white board, and handouts
Evaluation: How will you evaluate what the students have learned?

Students’ completion of Power Point training
Homework: What is the homework assignment? When is it due?
The students will select a lesson from chapter 8 or 9 and create a Power Point
presentation to be presented to the class.
The lesson of choice is due the following day.
