Attendance was 94.9% at the end of last week. Please keep up the good work! Don’t forget we are working towards 97%, so still a way to go! We will check school attendance again next week and report back to you. Please remember it is the parents legal responsibility to ensure their child attends school regularly, and arrive on time! The current level of attendance for our school is 94.9%. It should be at least 97%! Governors are very concerned at the amount of absences and plan to monitor attendance. Therefore the Headteacher will consider very carefully holiday requests, and will only grant permission if there are exceptional circumstances and your child has had excellent attendance. While we understand that children are ill from time to time, you should only keep your child at home if they have been sick, have a tummy upset (48 hours) or a high temperature. If you child has a cough or cold they can still come to school as long as they are wrapped up well. Remember we will give your child prescription medicine if you sign the necessary medicine permission forms held in the office. If your child is continually ill, and needs to be off school often, please ask your doctor for a letter for the school outlining this need and their medical condition. Thank you To the following children who have a birthday this week:Daniella Gyebi (7), Elwyn Roy (6), Issa Benny (6), Damilola Johnson (5) We would like to congratulate the children on taking part it the Macmillan ‘Dress up and Dance’ event today.
