 Consulting Services for “Operational Risk Training”
The Kosovo Bankers’ Association (KBA) has received financing from the World Bank
(International Development Association) toward the cost of the Financial Sector
Technical Assistant Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant
services. The services include training on Operational Risk in order to strengthen the
capacity of the members of Kosovo Bankers’ Association to further develop their
operational risk management capabilities.
The individual consultant’s main tasks will be as follows:

Deliver the training “Operational Risk” to bank staff and trainers;

Deliver training materials for future trainings and reference, on the topic.
The individual consultant should have advanced qualifications in the field of Risk
Management in financial institutions - supplemented by supporting experience and /
or research in Operational Risk in banking, as well as demonstrated experience with
training programs.
The candidates are required to submit their CVs showing evidence of relevant
experience and qualifications.
Professional experience:

Have at least 10 years of professional experience, most of which in financial
sector, including Operational Risk.

Have experience in know-how transfer/executive training.

Proficiency in written and spoken English.

The following evaluation criteria will be used for this assignment:
1. Specific knowledge for the assignment
60 points
Experience of candidate in the topic
30 points
General experience of candidate in know-how transfer/executive training 30 points
2. General qualification for the assignment
40 points
- University/academic background of the candidate
40 points
Total 100 points
The individual consultants interested in the assignment shall submit their CVs, on
which basis the best candidate (i.e. the most qualified/experienced consultant) will
be selected. The level of efforts – including training and preparation days - required
for this assignment is 3 working days maximum. The project should be completed by
October 2013. The contract will come in to effect with the signature of both parties.
The Kosovo Bankers’ Association (KBA), the agency responsible for implementation
of this project, now invites eligible candidates to indicate their interest in providing
the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are
qualified to perform the services (CVs).
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World
Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank
Borrowers (May 2004 Edition, Revised October 2006 and May 2010), Section V.
Selection of Individual Consultants.
