Faith Formation and Retreat Ministry Coordinator
Don Lee Center
Qualifications:
1. Meet all General Requirements for staff members of Don Lee Center. Those are
attached or on the website http://www.donleecenter.org
2. Minimum education would include a bachelor degree. Prefer person with study in
religious education, faith formation, or programming.
3. Experience in church ministry, religious education, youth ministry, or camp and
retreat ministry is desirable.
4. Ability to coordinate, promote, and deliver a full program of faith formation and
retreat ministries for the Center.
5. Experience or skills, which are not required, but would enhance an applicant are
music leadership for singing and worship or experience in family ministry.
6. A willingness to be involved in the ministry of Don Lee Center, a program affiliated
by tradition and faith with the United Methodist Church.
Responsible to Center Director
General Responsibilities
1. To develop the year around program of retreat ministry for the center. To
coordinate use of the facility, to staff, and resource as required all user group
programs. To provide a complete program of exceptional Christian Hospitality.
2. To offer a series of programs in retreats focused on children, youth, and/or families
and provide program leadership and coordination. These programs should be
promoted and offered to the general population.
3. To promote and recruit user groups for Don Lee Center Retreat Ministry. To develop
promotion materials and a plan to insure maximum use of resources.
4. To act as an onsite host for user groups and programs at the center.
5. To coordinate the faith formation program area for summer camp programs. To
provide training and leadership for summer staff. To provide program, special
events, and resources and major direction to faith formation in the summer
program.
6. To work as a member of the Center Leadership Team. Provide support to all
program areas and general operations support. This position requires management
of personnel and program. It requires cooperation with all program areas and all
staff members. It requires “in charge” leadership at Don Lee Center from time to
time.
Benefits:
Salary: Starting range is $32,000-$38,000 annually. Actual salary depends on experience and
education.
Paid Vacation Days:
Employed 1-2 years = 5 days
Employed 3-5 years = 10 days
Employed 6 years
Or More
= 15 days
Vacation Holidays:
2 days at Christmas
2 days at Thanksgiving
1 day at Easter
1 day at New Year
1 day for Forth of July
