Christina Noren, founder and CEO Christina’s vision for Artloop arises from a rare combination of expertise in both art and technology. Before founding Artloop, she served as a senior manager for Microsoft where she led cross-MSN quality of service initiatives and managed mission-critical, large-scale systems integration projects. Earlier, as a key manager at Portal Software and Sonic Solutions, Christina gained expertise in technical sales, business development and operations in dynamic and successful startup technology firms. She has made and studied art and is today a collector. She graduated summa cum laude from the Dominican University of California with a B.A. in International Business and a B.F.A. in Fine Arts. Marisa Bartolucci, VP editorial Speaking with smart audiences about complex concepts in art and design is nothing new to Marisa. In fact, she’s one of the nation’s leading authorities on architecture and design, with 18 years of experience addressing a sophisticated readership. Marisa served for 9 years as executive editor of Metropolis, a cutting-edge publication on architecture and design. Previous to that, she worked in the independent film industry and as a features associate at Vogue. She is the author of Architecture + Design: New York, and American Contemporary Furniture. She has written for The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, Town & Country, House & Garden, Graphis, World Architecture, and Architecture. She graduated magna cum laude from Yale College with distinction in her major, Philosophy. Celeste Hyde, VP marketing Always the advocate of the customer, Celeste is a veteran marketer always seeking creative ways to reach her target audience. She was formerly an account supervisor at DDB Seattle, where she specialized in consumer branding, technology communications, and public affairs. Prior to that, she held management positions at both Phillips Publishing International and a boutique communications firm in Washington, D.C. She also worked in media, research and external affairs positions on Capitol Hill. Celeste received a B.A.in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of Washington Business School. Lesley Duncan, director of sales – major accounts Over the past decade, Lesley has ventured through every corner of the art world, working in the Childs Gallery and the Weschler’s auction house, managing fine art image assets at Bill Gates’s digital image archive, Corbis, and helping found the online art site, iTheo. Such varied experiences have convinced her that the art market cannot grow without more confident, educated customers. She’s come to Artloop to help create them. Lesley holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Georgia and a M.A. in Art History from George Washington University. Susan Maruska, director of art knowledge So compelling was the opportunity to spearhead Artloop’s efforts to make its database the most comprehensive and reliable art information resource online that Susan left a prestigious position as director of the Jack Tilton gallery in New York. She previously served in the curatorial departments of the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. While at the High, Susan also worked with curator Mary Jane Jacob to help plan and execute "Conversations at the Castle," a discussion series for artists, writers, curators and arts professionals in celebration of the arts, held during the 1996 Olympics. Susan holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Masters Degree from Bard College's Center for Curatorial Studies. Gilda Collins, director core data Gilda is a rare bird, she has a passion for great art and complex databases. She manages the sophisticated underlying structure of Artloop’s database and supervises the Knowledge Builders team of art experts that is constantly grooming new information as this boundless resource grows. Formerly a sales operations manager at Sonic Solutions, she managed dealer sales support and operations database systems for an international network of dealers. She graduated from the Dominican University of California with a B.A. in International Business. She has also completed coursework in Asian and Western Art History at Dominican University and College of Marin. Sarah Granger, senior product manager Sarah’s blend of technical product experience and creativity are behind what makes Artloop’s sophisticated system tick. An experienced manager with a strong background in web development, technical writing, and system administration, she is responsible for continually enhancing Artloop's technology to make it ever more useful and accessible. Sarah was a lead member of the team that opened the Silicon Valley office of NDA (now Interliant) and also a founder of bcomfy.com. Her professional experience includes Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Phoenix Technologies, Chipcenter.com, S3 and Liquid Audio. Sarah holds a B.G.S. in Technology and Society from the University of Michigan, was the recipient of many engineering leadership awards including the Arlen R. Hellwarth Prize, and was the President of the UM Engineering Council.
