Compendium produse proiecte pilot 2001-2002
As its title suggests it, the project Multimedia Training Network for an Effective
Development of the ICT Basis in SMEs, on an European View – ICT-net, will
create an European training and information network in the fields of
informational technologies and communication. The main aim of this initiative
is to improve the skills of the top and executive managers for an efficient and
unitary development on medium and long term of the ICT sector in their own
organisations. It is actually a matter of acquiring skills on the edge of technical,
economical and educational fields that will lead to the most inspired decisions
in the above-mentioned changing environment.
The project also proposes to facilitate the access of woman managers to the
training, thus offering equal chances to both men and women in the decisional
process of the company.
Short
presentation
General
presentation
of the project
The start point in identifying the needs that leaded toward the present project
initiative is the finding of the fact that in most companies the ICT specialists are
not at the same time managers, or, the other way round, the managers do not
have enough knowledge in foreseeing the evolution of the ICT field at the
European level, so that to be able to take decisions on medium and long term.
Also women are practically left aside from this prevalent technical field (the
number of women working here is much smaller than the number of men)
which is a significant disadvantage for both women and the companies that do
not profit from the feminine creativity.
The purpose of the project is to create the basis of a specialist training (ICT
strategist) at an European level, capable to take strategical decisions
concerning the ICT sector in the company. In order to be effective, a result like
this has to come together with an attractive financial proposal, so that a wide
range of organisations to afford training its staff. The training tools and
methods previewed – based on Internet and multimedia applications – are the
only way so far able to offer quality in the educational process at lower prices.
