Employment Update The recent presentation at the April Tri-Chapter Meeting by John Bishop was very good, well presented and informative. John’s presentation provided a lot of commonsense approaches to how to best position oneself to gain more responsibility and an equally commensurate promotion. He touched on why you should not overlook those that you mentor as you move up in an organization. His talk did not focus on bulleted topics, rather he discussed important concepts to folksy happenings to him as he got ahead in Boeing. All in all a very good hour spent listening and learning. I advised everyone there that the Air Force has started allowing people looking for a civil service position in contracts, to go directly to the Air Force base that they want to work at and apply directly with the CPO there. ~ Frank Fabro Our Chapter web site continues to be updated with new opportunities. We encourage everyone looking for a position to check not only our website for Contract-related positions; but, also those of National and other local chapters.
