Doc Scott
Navigator MC
(31Records, Metalheadz)
(Rawhill Cru)
Legendary drum and bass soldier and
Metalheadz cofounder alongside
Goldie back in 1994, Doc Scott put
the drum and bass scene in motion. He
started mixing during the late 80s
when rave was big, his style was much
darker, adding influences from hiphop, jungle and Detroit techno, all very
characteristic for the early 90s. These
roots are more evident in his earlier
productions - "As Nasty as I wanna Be"
(1992), an oldschool drumandbass
classic as well as the famous "Here
Come the Drums".
Rawhill Cru's finest Navigator MC
has been responsible for much mayhem
in the drum and bass scene teaming up
with a wide selection of huge names.
With more than a decade of experience
to benefit him passing through
hardcore, reggae, jungle and drum and
bass, MC Navigator is as big a name as
they et.
After leaving Reinforced, he teamed up
with Goldie and founded the legendary
Metalheadz, soon to be most famous
label in drum and bass. Among his
early releases are "Vip Drums" and "Far
Away". He's also been working on LTJ
Bukem's label, Good Looking Records
This year he will be MC-ing along side
oldschool legend Doc Scott onstage at
the TM05Base festival due to the
support from the British Council
Romania.
