1. Visit the CNN website at

2. Click on the “Stamps” section.
3. Click on “Browse the Interactive Gallery” You will see mini-portraits of
those who helped shape American culture with social movements,
science, education and inventions. Answer questions A, B, &
C.
A. Why was Jackie Robinson important to baseball?
B. Sojourner Truth was born a slave and was later freed. She became a
great orator or speaker. What did she speak about when she traveled
the country?
C. Who was the first African American woman to earn international
aviation license? (An aviation license would allow you to be a pilot)
