Work these exercises from pages 503 - 506: E12.3, E12.8, E12.12, E12.13, E12.14, E12.15, E12.17,

o The purpose of these review exercises is to distinguish between the owners’ equity sections of
proprietorships and corporations. Please “jot down” questions to ask during Wednesday’s class.

Review course outline distributed during Monday’s class

Work (as a review) WRF problem P2-4B, page 93-94, using these revised requirements:
o Make an 8-column worksheet with these headings (use Microsoft Excel, if you can):
o Assets, Liabilities, Equity, Revenues, Expenses, Income, Cash Inflow (Outflow), CF category
o Post the beginning account balances from the October 31, 2006 trial balance.
o Journalize (make journal entries to record) the transactions for November 2006 in “debit” and
“credit” format.
o Show the effects ($ increase or $decrease) of each journal entry on the financial statement items
above – For the cash flow effect, please indicate if the cash flow affects “operating activities,”
“investing activities,” or “financing activities.”
o From the column totals in your 8-column worksheet, prepare a trial balance for November 30,
2006.

