Anticipatory set Students will go through a list
that the class will read together of true and false
facts about winter in Spanish speaking
countries. Later we will check to see who got
the most correct.
Input Show them a slide show of what winters
look like in different parts of the Spanish
speaking world. They will take notes including
information and new vocabulary.

to get to the main themes. Give them
additional cornell notes related to those
main points.
Read the text together having them look for
certain thematic evidence as we read:
industrialization, pro-industrialization and
anti-industrialization

holiday greetings and a gloss. Have them
read through the meetings of the greetings
as a class. Instruct them to pick some for
the greeting card on Friday.

together their video with titles and credits for
