Grading and Teacher Planning NO SCHOOL! HALLOWEEN!!! Entertainment Video Game Review: Ultimate Alliance 2 Myles McEwen Today I’m writing about a new videogame out in stores now. This game is the sequel to the video game Ultimate Alliance. In this game, it allows players to play as characters from the Marvel comic books. In the game, a superhuman registration act has broken out. Players must choose a side as the civil war erupts. The two sides are the Pro-Registration or Anti-Registration. Each side gives you special missions to complete. You are allowed to select four superheroes to play with. The controls for the game are easy for new and old gamers. You don’t have to press a combination of buttons to use one specific move. There aren’t any secret moves you have to find out. The game teaches you how to play during the first level. If you forget how to do something you can always go back to the first level. I feel that the game is exciting in my opinion. But, the game has some problems that should be noticed. The game could include more characters to play with. Also, the game isn’t very long. It could include more levels to go play in. The villains you must defeat in the game aren’t very difficult to defeat. When I play video games I enjoy having a challenge. But all these problems can’t stop me from having fun!!! It shouldn’t stop you from fun either. So go out and get your copy of Ultimate Alliance 2. Music Review: Cobra Starship – Hot Mess Mosheh Garbla Cobra Starship is pop/rock band from New York City. You might think, “Who in the world is Cobra Starship? And why would I listen to pop/rock?” Before you put this paper down, you should know that Cobra Starship is not your ordinary band. They have web episodes to promote their 3 rd album, Hot Mess. Hot Mess is a great album that has a great dance/rocking feel that makes you what to dance if you are the dancing type. It’s a parental advisory disc, so please get the edited edition from Best Buy and other stores online unless you want to hear your parents chatting it up for no reason. Lastly, if you are still not convinced, have you heard the popular single, “Good Girls Go Bad?” It’s an awesome song and Leighton Meester, an actress from the television show, Gossip Girl, makes a guest appearance on the song. Last but not least, B.O.B., an old-school rapper from Mr. Parker’s generation, is on the album and raps in the song “The World Will Never Do.” In my opinion, this song is really great. So get the album today! Or at least get “Good Girls Go Bad” on ITunes. It would be the coolest or most interesting thing you would ever do. New Boys - Skinny Jeans and a Mic If you haven’t heard of the two guys rapping about being a jerk, or not being tied down, where have you been? New Boys is that group. They made an album called Skinny Jeans and a Mic. Skinny Jeans and a Mic has two hit songs called “You’re a Jerk and “Tie Me Down”, which feature Ray J. If you want it for their music or their looks, you should get it. My opinion about the second hit song, Tie Me Down it’s a good song but it’s so gross. They are acting like players in song and they don’t care about keeping one relationship. Lastly, New Boys is a good group. That’s Not Right! (The Funniest Celebrity Gossip) Chantice Smith ¤Okay…we all know and have heard about Kanye West’s big, ignorant outburst at the VMA awards not too long ago. Well anyways, almost every celebrity has spoken out about it, except for the actual person that Kanye was actually talking about…Beyonce! She later spoke on about this incident. She said, “Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, ‘You have this award!’” Beyonce, we all know that you were sitting in your seat, by Jay-Z, all upset! But if you choose to not talk about your anger, that’s okay too. Anyways, Kanye West is 32 years old, so why in the world did he snatch a microphone from a 21 year old girl while she is accepting her award for best female video? My final word on this whole fiasco: grow up already! ¤OMG …Usher is finally signing those divorce papers! So can you say “byebye Tameka?” I can. And so can R&B singer, Usher. Usher has recently released his latest single, Papers, in which he tells about his pain that he has been through with his wife. This soon-to-be-divorced couple has been married since August of 2007, and have had two children together, 1 year old Usher Raymond V and 6 month old Naviyd Ely Raymond. But, Tameka has three other children from her previous marriage. As soon as they got back from their wonderful honeymoon, Tameka had got plastic surgery. Then she later suffered a cardiac arrest, causing Usher to upset millions of women all over the world because he had to stop to run to his wife’s side. Now, let’s stop and think on this situation really quick, she immediately rushed to get that plastic surgery! I mean, I’m not saying she’s a gold digger but she’s not going to marry somebody like Michael Vick! He doesn’t have any money anymore to begin with. My final word for this money hungry escape: that’s what you get! Staff Editorial The Gholson Post Staff Top 10 Ways to Get the Most Halloween Candy Mr. Parker, Principal Gholson Post Staff 1.
