Unit Two had masses of lessons to be taught. Unit Two began with Empathy. It taught us to look along with rather than at people. Next came levels and lines, based off of the overarching theme of empathy. Levels are the stages of a certain knowledge (lines). Lines come in all sorts of varieties like empathy, gratitude, and kindness. It taught appreciations of all kinds of developments. Levels range from one to three. A level one anything, for example, empathy, is empathetic only to the extent of their own betterment. A level two empathy, does so, to better the community. A level three (not understood by a level 1), would act to better the entire world or population. The Habits that Hinder Thinking taught me to notice the different ways that I can entirely hinder thinking in a situation. Thinking is wholly as important as listening and empathy. There are 6 habits, consisting of, The “mine is better” habit, the face saving, the resistance to change, the conformity, the stereotyping, and the self deception habits. We learned the basics and significance to individuality and about how in actuality, there are very few individuals. You learn from others’ actions and individuals cannot conform to others’ ideals. Through the Sacramental Vision, I learned about Agapic Love and Seeing as God and not seeing him (Beatific Vision) and the differences between realizing yourself as a sacrament and personal sacraments. It taught me to see myself as rooted in grace and a sacrament to those around myself. Which led me to realize others as a sacrament to me. Unit two started with “I am a sinner” and it ended with the personal discovery of Sacramentality. In all, unit two taught me to be aware of my flaws and to address them in the most direct manner possible to ultimately become most human. What humanizes, divinizes.
