– Dive into Korea: SESSION I
As the 1st international summer program in Korea, the 2009 Ewha International Summer
College is a credit bearing academic program, which also provides intensive language
course, internship opportunities and weekly extracurricular activities.
1. Academic Schedule:
1) Duration: June 22nd (Mon) – July 17th (Fri), 2009
2) Important Dates:
* Application Deadline: May 18th (Mon)
* Fee Payment Deadline: May 29th (Fri)
* Course Pre-registration Period: May 29th (Fri)
* Welcome Ceremony & Orientation: June 19th (Fri)
* Official Orientation Trip: June 19th (Fri) – 20st (Sat)
* Course Start: June 22nd (Mon)
* Farewell Ceremony: July 17th (Fri)
2. Course:
All courses are 3 credits each. Please visit our website for a full course description.

2) Note: All students can take 2 classes from below:
* East Asian Studies & Korean Studies Courses: 12 courses (All taught in English)
* 4 Korean Language Courses (Basic to Advanced level)
* General Courses: 180 courses (All taught in Korean):

Morning Class: 09:00 – 11:30
Afternoon class 1: 12:30 – 15:00
Afternoon class 2: 12:30 – 17:00 (Korean Language class only)

4. Application:
1) Qualification: Current undergraduate and graduate school students
* Those who will enroll in undergraduate level in December 2009 are also
qualified to apply
2) Required Documents:
* Fully completed application form (downloadable from summer website)
* Nonrefundable application fee of 100,000 KRW (waived for designated exchange student(s)

6. Visa:
A valid short-term visa (C-3) is required for most international students. Upon acceptance at
Ewha, students will be issued an Acceptance Letter to apply for visa. Take note that this visa
guarantees the student’s stay in Korea for 90 days.

Ewha International Summer College provides the widest range of opportunity in scholarship
to better encourage students’ participation.
