The Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for faculty
(teaching track) positions in the following programmes:
o Engineering Science Programme (ESP) - A multidisciplinary programme jointly offered by the
Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science. The programme has the following four
specialisations:
 Photonics and Optics
 Energy Systems
 Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
 Computational Engineering Science

o Global Engineering Programme (GEP) - A prestigious engineering programme for the best and

Faculty members in the teaching track are expected to spend 60% of the time in teaching, 20% in
research and 20% in service.
Applicants should have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in teaching in multidisciplinary areas and have an established research record that impact both science and engineering.
Teaching and research in the following and related areas are of particular interest to us in this round of
hiring:
▪ Energy Systems
▪ Computational Engineering Science

Initial appointment is a 3-year term contract with provision for extension, subject to good performance
and programme needs. An internationally competitive remuneration package, including housing and
relocation benefits, may be offered to successful candidates.
Applicant should have at least a PhD degree with relevant experience and postdoctoral experience is
highly desirable. The opening is considered at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level, but exceptionally wellqualified applicant may also be considered for Associate Professor.
