Employment History
IT Systems Administrator – SBE Entertainment (Los Angeles, CA)
August 2010 to December 2011
Part of the opening team for The Redbury Hotel at Hollywood and Vine and Cleo Restaurant where SBE
converted a condominium Complex into a 57-room Luxury Hotel in 2 months. Set up and configured
Hotel’s Opera Property Management System and interfaces to Ving Card Vision key software, Inn-Form
call accounting software, Opentable restaurant reservation system, Micros Point Of Sale, and Mitel PBX
telephone system. Configured guest room Audio Visual equipment such as Remote IR Extenders and
custom programmed Logitech remote controls for DVR’s and TV’s. After hotel opening, provided IT
support for hotel including telephone troubleshooting, new hire employee setup, maintenance of Servers
and workstations, vendor management and eventually the opening of the Library Bar in July 2011.
I was also instrumental in bringing the IT systems at the Four Points by Sheraton LAX, a 574
room hotel which had suffered from lack of IT Support for 3 years, up to current technology standards.
This process included replacement of core network switches, firewall, and network cabling. Installed
network cabling and 110 Meraki wireless access points throughout the hotel to provide WiFi coverage in
all guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms, and was completed $20k under original estimated
budget. Upgraded the hotels sales and catering management software by Newmarket Delphi up to
current version on a new server. Brought hotels Active Directory server online and reinstalled Windows
XP/ Windows 7 on 57 workstations and joined them to the domain. Deployed a Trend Micro Antivirus
Server and installed the AV software on all computers, which resulted in the removal of over 300 virus
infections. Instituted a cloud based backup solution with nightly backups to a cloud Disaster Recovery
service, saving the hotel $4k annually on software licensing and eliminating need for nightly tape backups
and offsite tape storage fees. Reviewed all Telephone and Data circuits at hotel and
cancelled/transferred/upgraded accounts saving $6k annually. Brought in a copier company who bought
out current lease on over-priced and under featured copiers and replaced with top of the line copiers,
which saved the company $48k over the term of a 5 year lease.
