Nutrition and Wellness Room 118 At the High School Ms. Zimmerman Textbook: Nutrition, Food, and Fitness Welcome to Nutrition and Wellness. This class stresses the crucial role eating a nutritious diet plays in overall health and the importance of daily physical activity. The students will learn how to adopt healthy eating and active lifestyles, but also how to take care of their mental and social health to be a part of total wellness. CLASS REQUIREMENTS: student's grades will be based on the following: Class participation Class assignments (test, worksheets, etc) Foods Labs (missing labs will be made up at home) Each student will be required to complete group projects One independent project. These projects will be presented the last week of the semester to your classmates.
