Responsibilities:
Project Planning Phase:






preparations of schedule data for proposals or contracts
Develop the Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and insure implement it as a base of
estimation, construction, planning, invoicing…etc.
Identifies scope of schedule activities
Determines schedule dates for work activities & determines milestones to support project schedules.
Establish work sequence and activity durations & Identify constraints and the critical path.
Assign quantity and manpower resource loading.

Provide schedule knowledge on a continuous basis to assist in discipline planning and interfacing with
others.
Perform schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities.
Assist in the development of the project code of account.
Assist in Developing work-off rates and installation curves.
Evaluates subcontractor schedules.
Liaise with all project team to insure proper understanding and running of project plan.
Release S-curve for all project phase to set one of the most project metrics.
Generate cash flow, resources, material & equipment histograms and curves which present the project

Link project activities with cost centers, cost type & work packages.

Conduct Project Sensitivity analysis using regression & statistical analysis to determine the impact of
resource availability and probability of project completion.
Set Contingency plan, risk analysis and risk assessment by using PERT and Decision tree method, the
objective is to determine the auxiliary actions to be taken in case of unexpected developments or
accident in the Project.
Using Schedule Compression Techniques (in case of rush projects) to obtain the optimum project plan,
which fulfill the new contract terms and schedule.
Reinforcement of the importance of achieving cost and schedule goals; as well as quality.
Project Cost Control (Manpower, Equipment and Material Management):












Assists in the preparations of cost data for contracts.
Identifies and monitor “Baseline Budget”.
Verifies and monitor quantities.
Develops and applies installation rates to contract quantities if required.
Develops quantity release or installation curves for a specific discipline or specialty if required.
Assists in the development of requirements for cost recording, reporting and analyzing standards,
programs, reports and in their implementation.
Develops specific project codes of account and assist in developing a Work Breakdown Structure.
Prepares and develops study information as assigned: Evaluates quantities, job-hours/staffing for a
specific discipline or specialty. Collects and classifies cost engineering, procurement and construction
data and performs data analysis and development.
Prepares quantity progress and performance reports for assigned disciplines or specialties if required.
Establish Trend and deviation Program.
Verify variation orders and change orders.
Develop project estimates & Develop project forecasts.

Monitor project cost by using Earned Value Management (EV), Earned Schedule Management (ES),
Cost Performance Index (CPI) & project balance techniques, and report the periodical financial
statement, in addition to monitor and budget deviations.
Use Activity Based Costing (ABC) as a concurrent method to monitor the performed work cost and to
analyze breakdown cost for all project activities.
Use Activity Based costing (ABC) as a superior method to estimate the labor/equipment productivity,
which is very important to measure the project performance, and use these data for future estimation.
Implement Performance Indicator for project disciplines as an evaluation indicator.
Review progress invoicing to assure proper progress payment according to project financial plan.
Project Deliverables & Reports:





Develops project controls variance reports that highlight conformance or non-conformance with
standard project control expectations.
Audits project progress and reports inconsistencies with project progress reporting processes and
reality.
Supervise daily, weekly and monthly reports production, and submit it for consultant, client and multi
project management office and any other stakeholders.
Supervise updating of master plan from site and other dept. feedback as reply on 4 weeks "look ahead"
plan.
Ascertain the engineering deliverables and update the progress in the master plan.
Project Resources Control:


A train project management resources in the use of project control tools and techniques and develops
Competency assessments for these resources in the project controls area.
Monitor any resource deviation, and report the resource utilization, effectiveness, and efficiencies.
Subcontractor Performance Control & Monitoring:



Establishing scope matrix to insure complete coverage for project scope of work.
Review all subcontractor plans to insure full compliance with project master plan.
Monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of project’s sub-contractors to insure proper
overall progress. And analysis subcontractor delay and impact claims to minimize additional owner
