As part of the Tertiary Education Project financed World Bank and the European
Commission (EC), The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) has received a grant from the
Quality Improvement Fund towards the cost of Improving the Practical Aspects of the
Teacher Education program in the Colleges of Education in the Palestinian
Universities in Gaza Governorates, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant
to eligible payments under the contracts for which this invitation for quotation is issued.

You may quote for any or more items under this invitation. Each item shall be
evaluated and contract awarded separately to the firm(s) offering the lowest
evaluated price for each item

Your quotation in duplicate and in English language, should be accompanied by
adequate technical documentation and catalogue(s) and other printed material or
pertinent information (in English language) for each item quoted including names
and addresses of firms providing service facilities in West Bank And Gaza
The deadline for receipt of your quotation (s) by the Purchaser at the addressed
indicated in Paragraph 4 is: June 1- 2009 no later than 10:00 noon.

Your quotation(s) should be submitted as per the following instructions and in
accordance with the Terms and Conditions of supply in the attached draft
Purchase Order. Please sign attachment to the Purchase Order and return the
same to the Purchaser..
(i) PRICES: The prices should be quoted for place of destination: EXW and
transportation to final destination, according to INCOTERMS, 2000. If the bidder
wishes to be paid in a combination of amounts in different currencies for
expenditures incurred for components imported from outside the purchaser’s
country, the Bidder may quote its price accordingly but shall use no more than
three currencies.
(ii)EVALUATION AND AWARD OF PURCHASE ORDER: Offers determined to
be substantially responsive to the technical specifications will be evaluated by
comparison of their prices by converting their Ex-Works price to $US based on
the selling exchange rate published by the Financial Times on the date for
submission of quotations, specified in Paragraph 6 above. The award will be
made to the firm offering the lowest evaluated price and that meets the requiered
technical specifications.
(iii) VALIDITY OF THE OFFER: Your quotation(s) should be valid for a period of
60 days from the date of receipt for quotation(s) as indicated in Paragraph 6 of
this Invitation to Quote.

Fixed Price: The prices indicated above are firm and fixed and not subject to any adjustment
during contract performance. Prices shall include VAT

Delivery Schedule: The delivery should be completed as per above schedule but not exceeding 4
weeks from the date of acknowledging the receipt of the P.O .
4.
Payment: Payment of the contract price shall be made in the currency or currencies of the
quotation of the successful bidder within 30 calendar days of receipt of the goods upon submission
of an invoice supported by the Acceptance Certificate issued by the purchaser.
5.
Warranty: unless specified in the Technical Specifications in Item 7 below ,Goods offered should
be covered by manufacturer’s warranty for at least 12 months from the date of delivery to the
Purchaser. Please specify warranty period and terms in detail.
6.
Packaging and Marking Instructions:
